Through the generosity of our Board of Trustees, we have been challenged to raise $65,000 by May 31! Collectively, the Board will match all donations up to $65,000, dollar for dollar, in support of our students and teachers as our Gateway community continues to work through the lingering effects of the pandemic.

Gateway’s next great accomplishment will be a return to campus that prioritizes the health and well-being of all students and staff, and in which anti-racism and equity are centered in our shared work to open doors of life-changing opportunity for the young people in our care. Our goals for this spring and summer include:

• Doubling the number of students participating in Gateway’s Learning Hubs - full time in-person support and instruction for Gateway’s most vulnerable students;
• Providing orientation and community building for Gateway’s 6th and 9th grade students who will be coming to campus for the first time;
• Celebrating Gateway’s graduating students in-person and marking the beginning of their next exciting chapter;
• Supporting Gateway’s extraordinary teachers and staff as we plan for our full return, reflecting on the challenges our community has faced and building on all we have learned.

The pandemic changed what education looked like over the last year, and Gateway is working to rethink and reimagine what more equitable schools can look like in the next chapter of our story.
