Sara Byrne

Sara Byrne joined the Gateway Board of Trustees in 2016. Previously, she served as a co-chair for the Gateway Matters of the Mind Luncheon in 2014 and 2015. Sara has resided in San Francisco for thirty years, after moving from her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona. Sara is an active volunteer at several local organizations benefiting education, kids, community, and sports including San Francisco Day School, serving in many capacities, and is a past Board member of Lone Mountain Children's Center. She currently serves as President of the Marin Academy Parents’ Association Board and is a member of the Marin Academy Board of Trustees. Sara lives in San Francisco with her husband, Tom and their three children. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate. Sara worked at Montgomery Securities in the Sales and Trading division for more than thirteen years. She is an avid tennis player, skier and hiker and enjoys traveling with her family.
