Gateway High School's entire student body recently participated in Project Week, an exciting intersession program in which students step out of the day-to-day classroom routine and choose one of over 15 different courses to participate in for the duration of the week, spanning roughly thirty hours of instructional time.
Courses included, but were not limited to, the Physics of Snowsports, Edible Adventures, Floating and Boating, Making the Band, Cycling, Electronic Music Production, Earth Activism, and Photography.
Project Week provides teachers and students with the opportunity to bond, have fun, and explore different interests. By changing the rhythm of the school day, students see that learning is an ongoing process that takes place both inside and outside the classroom.
