Unlocking Potential in All Learners

gateway public schools students on stairs

In 1998, six parents dreamed of creating a gateway to college for all students regardless of race, income, or learning style. That dream led to the founding of Gateway High School, a college preparatory, public charter school in San Francisco. We expanded our model with the addition of a middle school in 2011. Today the vision of a "gateway to college" is a reality: 96% of our graduates go on to college, double the statewide rate.

All Gateway, we celebrate and support the learning styles of all students. We offer a rigorous academic program in a nurturing environment, identifying and supporting the individual talents, strengths, and needs of each student.
