February 13: "Belonging in our Schools" with Kendra James
On February 13, we’re gathering five San Francisco schools in conversation with Kendra James, celebrated author of “Admissions: A Memoir of Surviving Boarding School,” to discuss the importance of Belonging In Our Schools. What does it mean to collectively strengthen a sense of belonging? How are we sharing the work and examining diversity, equity and inclusion, and antiracism in our schools?
Join us for a lively evening with Kendra about the role of our schools along with all of our students and families in designing communities that are truly inclusive of and safe for Black and brown students. We’ll start with drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the Walt Disney Family Museum lobby, and move to the beautiful theater for an interactive discussion.
