Leadership Class at Gateway High School

Gateway has a new Leadership Class this year team-taught by Joyce McMinn and Coach Steven Flynn. The Student Leadership Class is a rigorous semester-long program for students who care about creating change through service and commitment to the Gateway community and the community at large. Students work to create, design, and implement projects based on their interests, passion, and ideas. While participating in the class, students will get hands-on experience in areas such as team building, public speaking, fundraising and money management, and interacting with non-profit, community-based agencies.

On Friday, September 6th, The Leadership Team/Class planned, organized, and facilitated Student Elections through an all-school assembly. Candidates for class president presented themselves to the student body using Spoken Word, videos, and speeches. Check out some of the presentations below:
