Gateway’s Class of 2017: Statistics, Successes, and Destinations

2017 Graduation

Congratulations to Gateway’s Class of 2017, where 97% of its students have gone on to college this fall! Of these students, 75% are attending four-year schools, and 37% are the first in their families to attend college.

Additionally, students from Gateway’s Class of 2017 were the recipients of many scholarship awards including, but not limited to, the Maisin Scholar Award, SF Achievers, Making Waves Foundation College & Alumni Program, Meritus Scholarship, and Gateway High School Founders Scholarship.

Members from Gateway's Class of 2017 are attending a broad range of colleges across the country, including fantastic public universities such as UC Berkeley and UCLA, as well as private colleges like Drexel University, McGill University, New York University, Sarah Lawrence College, and Smith College.

Gateway's college counseling program, led by two full-time college counselors, helps ensure that our students understand the college process and that college is a real possibility, regardless of where they come from academically or socially.
