Mario Rodriguez (he/him)

Mario was born and raised in Oakland, California. He graduated from UCLA in 2015 with a BA in History and Minor in Chicanx Studies & African American Studies. Mario has worked for the past nine years in East Oakland with middle and high school students. He spent most of his early years as an Assistant Dean of Students and Dean of Students. Mario then transitioned to the classroom, receiving his Masters from the University of Pacific in 2020. He has taught 11th and 12th grade students in American History and Ethnic Studies. In his free time he is an avid soccer fan and cat enthusiast. Mario enjoys traveling and spending time in his hometown finding delicious food and restful environments.
