Margo Engels (she/her)

Margo Engels is a learning specialist and educational therapist who is joining Gateway after working in educational support for many years. Having completed the Making Math Real course of study, which brings multisensory methodologies to classroom and small-group learning, Margo now returns to her passion of math teaching at Gateway. A Bay Area native, Margo has spent her career teaching in public and independent schools, and in private practice. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC Davis with a B.A. in History, and holds an M.Ed. from UC Berkeley. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and an empty nest: both of her kids are grown (one lives and works in Seattle, and one is a college freshman). In her spare time Margo makes jewelry, collects rocks, meditates, and blasts loud music in the car.
