Ivette Galarza (she/her)

vette is excited to join at Gateway High School to teach Spanish. She’s originally from Zacatecas, Mexico, and moved to the U.S. at 13 to learn English. She holds a Master’s in Hispanic Literature from Michigan State University and has over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish at charter schools and community colleges. She’s passionate about language, culture, and helping others learn. When she’s not teaching, she’s working out, reading, or hanging out with her cat.
