Elizabeth Colen (She/Her)

Elizabeth Colen is a proud San Francisco native and alumna of Gateway High School. She has been a dedicated member of the Gateway Middle School community since its opening in 2011. Elizabeth began her career at GMS teaching 6th grade humanities before moving to 8th grade humanities in 2013, where she continues to teach today. Over the years, Elizabeth has taken on a variety of roles including: volleyball coach, advisory lead, 8th grade team lead, student council advisor, and representative on the Board of Trustees. After stepping back from some responsibilities to focus on raising her two daughters, she now serves as the Humanities Department Lead. Outside the classroom, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her daughters, reading, working out, and crafting.
