Student Clubs

Students have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and explore different areas of personal interest through a wide variety of clubs. Students are encouraged to create their own clubs with the help of faculty advisors.

    Gateway's School Gardening Program

Located in the southeast corner of Gateway High School's parking lot, Gateway's community garden and outdoor classroom not only adds a touch of natural beauty to the high school's urban ambiance, but serves as a living laboratory for students by providing hands-on learning in science, math, and other subject areas. The garden broke ground in the Spring of 2013 and has grown exponentially since then, and is frequently the site of celebrations, music performances, and other special events. It is home to Gateway's Garden Club which consists of students, parents, and community volunteers who work hard to cultivate and support the garden.

    Gator Gears

Gateway's Robotics Team, Gator Gears (Team 4973), is a FIRST Robotics Team and aims to immerse students in modern day technology. Members of Team 4973 learn technical, mechanical, and business skills as well as collaborative and social skills. Every year, Gateway's Gator Gears are charged with designing and building a fully functional robot to compete in a competition of strategy and technology during the FIRST Robotics Regional Competitions in California.
