A College Prep Education for All

Gateway High School's academic program provides a broad, rigorous, college preparatory education. Every course load exceeds requirements for admission to the UC and CSU systems, as well as private colleges and universities across the nation. All academic courses are based on California State Standards and emphasize the learning process, community, and integrity.

Gateway helps students understand their unique learning style and improves their process of learning.

Measuring success one student at a time, we ensure that all students have the support they need for our challenging curriculum. Our unique, seven period block schedule, in which each class meets three times per week (twice in an extended block and once for a more traditional 45-minute block), allows more time for students who need help with a difficult concept and for those who are ready to delve deeper. Faculty members guide students to master skills, acquire knowledge, and think critically, creatively, and independently.
