Jared Wolf (he/him)

Jared is an experienced public educator who teaches 9th Grade Environmental Science and Gardening & Horticulture at Gateway High School. He believes these courses are more important than ever as young people prepare to understand and address the challenges of climate change.

Before joining Gateway, Jared worked as a middle school math and science teacher and in school administration. He holds a B.S. in Biopsychology from UC Santa Barbara, an M.S. in Educational Studies and Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University, and an M.Ed. in Public School Building Leadership from Columbia University.

Outside the classroom, Jared is a passionate gardener with interests in permaculture, hydroponics, and urban farming. In his free time, he enjoys playing beach volleyball, running, cycling, and caring for his collection of more than 50 houseplants.
