Gateway fields 10 teams in five sports over three seasons. Our goal is to provide student athletes the opportunity to improve sports skills while developing communication, problem solving, and leadership techniques by working on a team. We participate in a middle school athletic league consisting of several other private and charter schools in San Francisco. In order to participate, students must maintain at least a C in all classes and be in good standing with regard to school culture and our core values.
Aspire to Griffin Greatness!

Sports Offered
Tryouts for teams are announced prior to each season during morning announcements, in PE class, and in the weekly family newsletter. Students must turn in their completed athletic paperwork before the first day of practice in order to participate in sports. This packet will be distributed in all PE classes and also available in our main office. While athletes are not required to get a physical and complete that portion of the paperwork, it is highly recommended.
