Will Parish

Until June of 2012, Will was a teacher at Gateway High School. Before beginning his teaching career in 2002, he held other positions. He was a certified flight instructor; an attorney in a major San Francisco law firm; developed alternative energy projects; worked for an environmental organization as a pilot, and later as Executive Director; and he taught solar powered battery recycling to middle school students. He founded Ten Strands in 2012 and serves as its Founder President. His work focuses on advancing environmental literacy to all students in California. He is a member of California’s Science Collaboration Committee and is co-chair of the Environmental Literacy Steering Committee. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1980 and a BA in Political Economy from Williams College in 1975.
