Jacqueline Cruz

Jackie is originally from Houston, Texas, and earned her degree in Environmental Science from Santa Clara University, where she competed in cross country and track and field. After graduation, she worked as an environmental chemist but realized her passion was in education. As the oldest of eight siblings, teaching had always felt like a natural fit. She recently earned her master’s degree at Santa Clara University and spent the past two years teaching 6th grade science at KIPP Excelencia Community Prep in Redwood City. Jackie enjoys creating hands-on science lessons that help students stay curious, ask questions, and build confidence in themselves as learners. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys running, hiking, and painting.
