Tami Volker

Tami Volker is a finance professional with extensive experience in financial strategy, operational leadership, and building strong, sustainable organizations. Currently working in the fine dining industry, Tami supports the financial strategy and performance of a thriving restaurant group, helping guide growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation. Known for a collaborative and pragmatic leadership style, Tami partners across functions to translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable decisions that drive results. Tami holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of California, San Diego, and an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Irvine, combining strong communication skills with deep financial expertise.

Tami’s connection to education is deeply personal. Raised in a family of educators, Tami developed an early appreciation for the important role that teachers and schools play in shaping students’ lives and expanding opportunity. Today, Tami lives in San Francisco with her husband and three children, including two students at Gateway High School in the Class of 2028, bringing a meaningful parent and community perspective to the work. Drawn to Gateway Public Schools’ focus on college readiness and educational equity, Tami will be proud to serve as a Trustee and support meaningful opportunities for every student.
